The basic structure
Working principle of DC motor
There are two parts: stator and rotor. Note: Do not confuse the commutator pole with the commutator.
The stator includes: main pole, machine base, commutator pole, brush device, etc.
Rotor includes: armature core, armature (SHU) winding, commutator, shaft and fan.
Rotor
The rotor part of DC motor is composed of armature core, armature, commutator and other devices. The components in the construction are described in detail below.
1. Armature core part: its function is to insert armature windings and magnetic flux, in order to reduce the eddy current loss and hysteresis loss in armature core when the motor is working.
2. Armature part: the role is to attack electromagnetic torque and induction electromotive force, and energy transformation. Armature winding has many coils or glass wire covered flat steel copper wire or strength enameled wire.
3. Commutator is also known as commutator. In DC motor, its role is to convert the DC power supply current on the brush into the communication current in the armature winding, so that the tendency of electromagnetic torque is stable and unchanged. In DC generator, it converts the armature winding communication electromotive force into the DC electromotive force on the brush end.
The commutator consists of a cylinder of pieces insulated with mica, and each end of the armature winding is connected to two commutator pieces separately. The function of the commutator in the DC generator is to convert the alternating electric heat in the armature winding into the DC electromotive force between the brushes. The current will pass through the load, and the DC generator will output electrical power to the load. At the same time, there must be current through the armature coil. It interacts with the magnetic field to attack the electromagnetic torque, its tendency is opposite to the generator, the original idea is only to suppress the magnetic field torque talent to change the armature. Therefore, the generator output electrical power to the load, from the original idea of mechanical power output, the end of the DC generator to convert mechanical energy into electric energy.
